Mr Colin Leask and Ms Pamela King have been in contact with the Shire of Strathbogie in order to clarify and confirm the non-requirement of a permit to compost for their chemical-free farm and to expose the issuance of an EPA notice for what it was: a blatant and vindictive attempt to intimidate them because of their continuing objections to the under-regulated conditions at the Splitters Creek Facility construction site.

Based on the
new information provided below and requirements detailed below, Council
considers the use to be agriculture and a planning permit is not
required.
The following requirements must be achieved:

The composted material is used only for agriculture on site.
·
The composted material is not sold or disturbed off site.
·
The composting is more than 100 meters from a waterway and a dwelling not in the same ownership.
